High quality Oak chips

Oak chips –sourced from the same French oak as used in our barrel production- are used for two types of treatment :

Fermentation
Oak chips are used to help to stabilize color and increase volume. The chips contribute sweetness from the oak and also mask green, herbaceous characteristics coming from the fruit.
Dimensions : 5/12mm non toasted.
Packaging : 10Kg sturdy aluminium bag.
Suggested use : 3 to 6 grams per liter.

Aging
An oenological tool used to achieve oak presence in toast in a shorter period of time. After a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks of contact elegant oak impact and complexity are noted.
Dimensions : 5/12 mm or 10/22 mm toasted or non toasted.
Packaging: 5 or 10Kg sturdy aluminium bags and cotton bags are included for use.
Suggested use : 1 to 10 grams per liter.
